Yes keep doing it till he gets use to it. It took Poppy a few days like I said I was the same as you worried she wasn't eating enough.
I also found she was better when I changed her bowls to cat bowls has she couldn't reach the bottom of the dog ones they were to deep for her.

He will get there try not to worry.

Just thought I'd leave a message about him eating today. We've had a good day and he ate all his breakfast and his other 2 meals, struggled on the fourth though.
I kinda made a mistake earlier though and he barked as if he was telling me something. I thought he wanted to go out so I took him out but it turned out he was hungry. Then he did the same again later and I thought he wanted to go eat again, but this time he needed a poo, and did one where he stood..... lol. Silly mummy and daddy! That was his only mishap today though so he's been very good on the pee pad front.
