Freyas much better today

Post by annie on Wed Oct 05, 2011 6:30 am

Freya is much better today, she had a good night , although i did take her bed upstairs and placed it next to mine ,woke up in a panic , i couldnt see her in her bed then to find her curled up in hubbys jeans,it will teach him not to leave them on the floor when he goes to bed,he didnt complain and said she felt quite warm:) , she has eaten a full boiled chicken breast:x .we are off to the vets again for a check up this morning and will have to see when we can arrange her vaccination again Smile

Glad she is feeling better, I hope you are as well. lol! It was probably the stress of moving to a new house where everything is strange to her. You knew she was safe and being looked after but it must have felt as if her whole world had fallen in to Freya. Fingers crossed she will be back to mischief making soon. Smile

Thanks Ladies, Freya is to stay on chicken and boiled rice for another 24 hrs , her tummy is still squishy, then slowly introduced to her food, vet has recommended we use a crate for the time being and shes to be let out for supervised play, this is because, whilst on the table she had a munch at the stethescope, i had also told the vet about her nibbling at my grandsons dummy and a 5p piece which i had to retrieve from her mouth, dont know where she got that from! so best to be safe for the time being, i dont think she will like it though x

I think the crate is a really good idea for the times you are not able to watch her because they are like lightening and can get themselves into so much mishcief. They soon get used to the idea and it just means they are safe from harm when you are not able to sit and watch them Very Happy

So glad she is on the mend and that you are feeling a lot better about it today xxxxx

To be quite honest I used a really large crate for Josh to play in - put bedding one side and paper/pads the other in case he got taken short (as pups don't usually want to mess their bed) and then a 24 inch one for travel (sorry I don't do cm lmao) xxxx

The 30 inch one should be fine for the car unless you have a really small car lol! and it will give her plenty of room to turn around and things so don't panic Very Happy

It is a bit costly to begin with but it is because everything is new (though I am NOT saying you won't spend anything else ha ha) xxxxx
