Sweet little Skye - a beautiful Westie

Post by simbalove on Wed May 25, 2011 8:49 pm

It has been a sad day today for my friend Marian who adopted Skye 3 years ago. Skye was an ex-puppy farm bitch who had known no love or care until Marian adopted her. Marian has cherished her for 3 short years but sadly last week she became unwell and the vets were baffled by the symptoms. Yesterday Marian took her to the Veterinaryu Hospital in Bristol to see of they could help - but unfortunately they discovered that Skye had a very bad cancer which was untreatable and today her Mam made the painful decision to have her put to sleep and end her pain.

It is heartbreaking as Skye was such a young girl - she deserved much longer in this world to enjoy her Mam's love and care.

Run free sweetheart - go play with the Simbalove babies and your older Westie brother Jock.

God bless you Marian and I hope the pain is eased somewhat by the knowledge that you gave this wee mite 3 whole years of love and happiness teddy hug teddy hug teddy hug

Poor little Skye, and poor Marian. As we all know losing a fur baby is the worst thing to go through, and only having her for 3 short years is harder still. I hope Marian can at least be thankful that she gave this poor little Westie a good, loving, caring, home for half of her short little life, and she did everything it was possible for her. to you all.

I was so sorry to here this news. I know how much little Skye meant to Marian and how heartbroken she must be.
I do hope that her lovely memories will help her through this tough time.
Run free little Skye and have fun at the bridge with all the others waiting for you xxxx
