A big HI & HELLO there

Post by gail900 on Wed Sep 08, 2010 9:18 pm

hello every one, im Gail and I have a bucket full of joy called Jasmin, we decided to shorten it to Jazz so my son didnt get embaressed on the off chance my son ever wanted to walk her. Ive had Jazz since she was 4mths old and she is due puppies this month (she's 18mths now). Jazz is my first dog since i was a teenager as im scared of most dogs including labs silly i know but when you have been bitten as many times as i have you learn to keep your distance. If you cant shake it off your leg i dont want to know. My fear rubbed off on my son so im hoping having Jazz has helped him some. Im so excited but scared about Jazz giving birth and I cant wait to see what kinda mischeif they get up to. im so glad i picked a shih tzu there traits are just the best and Jazz makes me laugh every day... even when she just gives me the elvis... you know what i mean. well thats me and my shadow ( another one you know) cant believe it took me so long to find this site.

I never had a dog till I was 21.....I was terrified of them. I used to babysit for a couple who had a tiny Yorkshire Terrier.....and I would lock it away in the dining room so I didn't have to sit with it. I watched my sister get bitten by a German Shepherd when we lived in Cyprus , it was her fault she stroked it whilst it was sleeping and startled it. She now owns German Shepherds and Dobermans and I to date have had 5 Yorkies a Rhodesian Ridgeback,a Pomeranian , Chihuahua a Bearded Collie cross and my Shih Tzu Tuppence. My mum bought me my first Yorkie ( to get over my fears ) as we lived in a cul-de-sac and there was a latch key Yellow Lab that patroled the entrance and I was terrified of coming home from work if that dog was around. I used to get kids to call it away so I could get home. This Lab incidentally once stole my Yorkie pup from the garden to play with. I bred from this Yorkie and ended up with five of them ( what was I thinking ). I could not be without my dogs now. I am really exited for you with your puppies due ...your going to have your hands full. Please dont make us wait to long before you let us know how it went and what she has...we want photo's too. There is one of Tuppence on here at 2 weeks old suckling her mum ahhhhhh under best puppy photo's

I have always had a fear of dogs apparently because a large dog jumped up on my pram when I was a baby.I had a Retriever and I was always nervous of him, but since having my girls I feel that the Shih Tzu are so brilliant temperament wise I am much better now, although I am still a little appprehensive if I see a large dog off its lead when we are on a walk.

I love the photo Carol....she's got very appealing eyes. Which one of your girls is it....I still can't tell them apart.

Carol, you must spend all day following your two with a camera. You have such lovely pictures of them. They are very photogenic.
