Hello Shih Tzu Lovers

Hello,

I am Houkje and live in The Netherlands and I have a Shih Tzu called Javari (see picture). He was born on the 8th of march 2009 and is therefor just over a year old now. I love him to bits and cannot imagine living without him anymore. I also go to shows with him with good results overall. Just need some work on his coat as it is very fluffy at the moment. So any advice on that is very welcome .
We´ll go to Wales this summer on holiday, very much looking forward to that!

Welcome from me and my 2 Shih Tzu's Mali & Tasha. We live in Wales near Cardigan on the West coast with lots of lovely beaches. I hope you enjoy your stay in Bedd Gelert it is a lovely place I have been there a few times.Javari is beautiful well done with the shows.

I think its just under 1 hour away,if you let me know when you are coming I could see if there are any dog shows on in north wales Annita

I'd love to show off my dog in Wales but I think that my travel compagnons won't be happy if I do that...... . I arrive in Wales on the 19th of june and leave on the 3rth of july.

I live in South Wales and I love the country. I am from North west England so have spent many happy holidays in North Wales too. It is beautiful in Snowdonia and Beddgelert is very pretty (though the story of Gelert is rather sad and upset me profoundly :lol!) There are some lovely villages and towns in Snowdonia and the roads are very scenic. Llanberis is quite pretty. Llangollen is a lovely town to visit and also Bettws y Coed (although that has become a bit touristy with a large shopping area) and the surrounding countryside is beyond compare!

I am sure you will have alovely holiday (although it may well be wet so bring your waterproofs )

Hi,I ve just had alook and there are no shows in north wales around that date, just thought you would like to have a look at shows in this country. we go to America most years and I if Im lucky I like to go to see how shows are run there, we show and we also have mini wire dachs ,have a lovely holiday, as Lesley said there are lovely places to visit.

aw thats a pity Annita - it might have been nice for them to see a show here... and next time you go to the states take some photos to show us please

we went to Thailand last year and it was a friday afternoon (I usually bath my show dogs on a friday) and we walked into a shop and there on the table at the back of the shop was a shih tzu in full coat been blow dried it was only later when I remembered that my camera was in my bag and I did nt think to take a photo, we saw a few shih tzus in Thailand quite a lot smaller than ours and smaller than the Americans, I did see a beautiful english bulldog puppy the quality was fantastic and the price al ot cheaper over there , ,wish I could have bought him home,loved him

North Wales is beautiful, I lived on Anglesey for three years. Lovely area. I had my honey moon in Bettws y Coed. We are hoping to get back there this year for a holiday.

Received my travel confirmations by mail yesterday. The first week we have a cottage in LLandeilo and the second week in Beddgelert. I am so much looking forward to it! And if you have any reccomendations for me of this I really cannot miss please tell me!!!!!

Today the brother of my Javari came here to play. So much fun!
