Hi! Thanks for your welcome,

I am a beginner with Shih Tzu but I love the breed.

My auntie has a fabulous boy called Charlie and I am looking to get a Shih Tzu pup as a companion for my miniature dachshund Sophie. She is seven months old and really needs some canine company.

I have a young daughter who is fantastic with animals and I am going to see a pup at the weekend so fingers crossed all being well, we may have a new addition to write about next week!

Can't wait to look at all the forums and start posting photos etc and gaining a much better knowledge of the breed.

Welcome from me and my two girls Mali & Tasha. You will never regret having a Shih Tzu. My only regret is that I didn't have them years ago.They entertain us for hours especially when they chase each other around the house and garden

Yay, one little pup reserved, ready for me to collect on December 11th!!! Soooooooo excited, she is a little gold and white girl with a little darker colouring on her face. Can't wait to bring her home!! Will try to upload some photos on Saturday. Thanks for all your lovely comments, I feel like I've joined a really friendly and supportive forum!

p.s...If anyone can help me with names I'd really appreciate it, so far I've only come up with Honey!?

aw thats lovely news Can't wait to see photos! Names? I am not very good at that although there are people who think of lovely names on here. I like Honey as I had a pony with that name and my sister's dog is called that too and both of them were/are as sweet as can be! I do NOT know why my mind always goes blank when people ask about names

Hi Debz_B some suggestions for a name for your puppy.
Milly, Muffin, Poppy, Chloe, Zoe,Sukie. I also think Honey is rather sweet I had a Golden Retriever called Honey and she was the sweetest girl I knew. Which ever one you decide on make sure you don't mind shouting the name in public if she run's off. Good luck and if there are problems when you get her ( I am so envious-I would still have another one they are so addictive)I am sure someone on here will be able to help. Keep us updated and photo's too.

I know it's going to be great for Sophie as she will love the company and Melita, my daughter will love her too.

If only I could work from home, I bet I'm not going to want to leave her, even though I only do part time!

I am lucky in that I can take Josh to work with me - because every little minute I am away from him I want to be back - you are going to have such a lovely time - though I fear things like housework do tend to go out of the window when there is a puppy around - oh and you will have permanently aching cheeks from all the laughing
