Re: Hi Everyone!
Hi and welcome to the group, good that you are interested in showing your little dog, its great fun and you meet some lovely like minded people. As your little girl isnt registered I guess you will be looking for exemption shows, if you look in your local paper then you should see them advertised. very often they are run alongside a county show. You dont need any experience to enter as they are purely for fun. enjoy yourself....Pat

Re: Hi Everyone!
Hi Pat,
Thanks for your welcome.
I should have really thought about showing before I got them. I have done a few pet dog competitions and I am hooked! They both came fourth in one of the classes at Newark County Show so I will be going to shows just for the dogs! Victoria

Re: Hi Everyone!
Hi ya Victoria , Ronnie and Roxy , welcome to the forum and the girls are lovely,A little about showing to actually attend most dogs shows they do have to be k c registered apart from exemption shows and companion shows which are advertised in papers , shop windows or boards ,and in your local vets ,
They are not so dear either to enter them in , as for the other shows are at least £9.00 for one dogs (which is what i paid recently) plus you have to pay for the other dog to actually go into hall , becuase of insurance purposes, Hope this helps a little,

Re: Hi Everyone!
Hiya Victoria - your babies are gorgeous
If your babies are not registered you can register them with the Kennel Club companion Dog Club and they have a lot of companion dog shows around the country as well as exemption and fun shows. here is a link to the kennel club page for Companion Dog Club - Click Here!
Another way you could go is to do some agility or obedience with them and compete in those areas because any dog can be registered on the activity register.
If your dogs came with transfer papers I think you can still register them with the KC but if they didn't I would suggest you use the fun and exemption shows to hone your skills and look towards another dog to show in the future
Hope you can come to Tatton - that would be great

Hi Victoria and welcome, your babies are gorgeous, so cute. I see they are both 1, are they brother and sister?
Re: Hi Everyone!
Thank v much for your welcome and nice comments. They are from different litters - Roxy is two weeks older than Rooney. I got Rooney when he was 8/9 weeks old and decided another dog was needed a month later and Roxy was 12 weeks. It has taken more time to train Roxy being that bit older when I got her. They were so different until they had their first clip and they looked identical, bless them.
