Hi Im new to the site :o)
Hi
I'm Sue from West Cumbria & new to the site, I have 6 dogs in all soon to be 7 (most are rescues)
I have 3 rottie's Halle, Luna & Diesel, 1 staffie Jojo & 2 Shih tzu's Sully & Lola to be joined by our newest arrival Ruby on April 10th (another Shih tzu)
We also have 4 rescue cats 2 bob tails Mogwai & Willow & 2 persian's Marley & Tilly.
I was previously an I.T. tutor but had to give up work because of care commitments to my parents

Welcome along, I have only recently joined and I find the advice on here invaluable. Can I ask how your cats and dogs get on? My beautiful moggy Jack is not at all impressed with Oscars arrival, understandably as he keeps chaing him!

Hi & Thanks
my cats were here before I got my 2 shih tzu's so were quite used to dogs & aren't really phased by my rotties, tho are a bit wary of our staffie as the owners who had her previously trained her to chase cats! it took 8 months to retrain her not too, & 99% she now ignores them unless she has a bone or a toy then she'll growl at them.
Lola is ok with them just over excited lol but Sullys a right little hooligan & they avoid him as he pins them down & washes them which the hate (before we had him castrated I also had problems with him humping them, thats probably more so why they give him a wide berth lol)
It would be like a mad house with 6 dogs running round at the same time so I do it in relays lol when the littles ones (2 shih tzus & our staffie) are out our 3 rotties are in their crates, then when it's their turn the littles ones are in their crates.
In the warmer weather the big dogs have the run of the kitchen outhouse & a very large garden, so they can come & go as they please & the little ones have the run of the livingroom -dinning room & front garden.
If my sister walks with me or my daughter we can walk all 6 togther otherwise I walk them in 3's
2 of our cats come & go as they please & ask to be left out by waiting at the door & meowing, the persians are house cats so wander round all day room to room
Marley one of the persians loves dogs & eubs himself against them Tilly is a bit more aloof & tolerates them lol
