Hi all just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience and offer any advice. Poor Oscar got a swipe from the cat yesterday, and him being a big cat managed to get poor Oscar right in the eye. It is punctured and he is in the theatre at the hospital as I type having it stitched. He was as brave as he coud be but he was clearly in pain. They are hoping that the cat hasn't scrathced the lens - they are 90% sure but said only time will tell. Has anyone else had similar thing happen? And any ...

Hi I'm Sue from West Cumbria & new to the site, I have 6 dogs in all soon to be 7 (most are rescues) I have 3 rottie's Halle, Luna & Diesel, 1 staffie Jojo & 2 Shih tzu's Sully & Lola to be joined by our newest arrival Ruby on April 10th (another Shih tzu) We also have 4 rescue cats 2 bob tails Mogwai & Willow & 2 persian's Marley & Tilly. I was previously an I.T. tutor but had to give up work because of care commitments to my parents

Hi there, I was initially told not to clean with bleach as it contains ammonia which to a dog smells like urine. Which means that my puppy Yoshi may think another dog has done a wee on a non designated toilet spot and feel the need to wee there to mark his territory. My challenge now is, my kitchen and entrance hall are now smelling very 'doggy', I went out today and bought some Dettol and Pine Disinfectant. Can these be used or will they cause the same problem as the bleach? I need ...

Hello just found this site seems ideal - I am looking for a female Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu X as company for my lovely 4 yr old rescue GSD Boy. He has just been castrated and is really settled. I had this combination previously and they were great friends, sadly I lost both of them within 3 weeks of each other last Summer. Please can you answer some of my questions. I have just got an 8 wk old puppy. He is doing very well and is almost toilet trained. My problems are that he seems to have a mad hour running randomly around bumping into everything and biting everything including me. There is nothing I can do to stop him. When he is biting he jumping up and twisting round to bit. Please help. Also can you tell me how long roughly a shih tzu will be when fully grown. I never have has a dog before so any advice ...
